Dan Campbell-Lloyd

Renowned Cameraman, Photographer and former Professional Kayaker, Dan Campbell-Lloyd, has become one of the Action Sports Industry's most trusted and talked about camera talents. His work creates unique imagery that spans film, television and the web, while seamlessly bridging the gap from scene to screen.

Dan immerses himself in the heart-pounding moments of adventure, allowing the viewer to journey inside those split seconds of time when ultimate focus, concentration and provocation culminate in action sports. His skills represent constant evolution driven by the moment and the never-ending progress of the athletes he works with.

A child of the rain forests of Australia, Dan and his sister were raised by slightly eccentric teacher parents among traditional Aborigines in the countrys remote interior communities. Consequently, he was drawn to a life of exploration, adventure and the unexpected. His travels have since taken him to over 55 countries, with extended stays in Uganda, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Dan is known as one of the few cinematographers in the world of adventure kayaking who can descend the worlds most infamous rivers with camera in-hand.

The past two years have been the most outstanding of his career. Dan is recognized for his work capturing the globes most talented athletes pushing the boundaries of their sports for the Rush HD series, FOCUSED. In 2008, he joined Steve Fisher and The Ultimate Ride team for a descent of the Zambezi River at an all-time high and precarious river level. He also covered the Baja 250, 500 and 1000 for the T-Force team, and captured footage for the Emmy-nominated FOCUSED show, Human Flight. In early 2009, he had the privilege of filming and working with the legendary Shane McConkey in Italy shortly before his passing.

Ask his closest friends and you’ll learn that Campbell is best known for his infectious personality, his ruckus sense of humor and an up for anything attitude, not to mention the classic Australian bravado that occasionally gets him into trouble.
